If you’ve taken a stroll in Carmichael lately, then you might’ve run across a few “fishy” lost pet signs.
A few weeks ago, local teen Emil Lev-Twombly put up 40 “Lost Fish” signs all around town. Each of these unique signs claims the goldfish “Charlie” is now swimming around somewhere in Carmichael. Just be forewarned: this fish could be a tad aggressive. Anyone who successfully catches Charlie could fetch a generous reward of $0.50.
Soon after the Lost Fish signs appeared in Carmichael, Lev-Twombly received dozens of emails with vital clues concerning Charlie’s whereabouts. A few locals even put up funny “Found Fish” signs throughout town. One of the strangest signs claimed that Charlie was now a member of the rebellious “Goldfish Liberation Army.”
Lev-Twombly said he had no idea what kind of response he would get from the Carmichael community. According to Lev-Twombly, he created these signs out of sheer boredom during the COVID-19 lockdown.
